Myth #1: "Social Media is for teenagers and college students"

FALSE!  In 2009, Facebook (#1 social networking site) reported a 276% growth rate amongst users 35-54 years old and a 194.3% growth rate amongst ages 55+ (Source: iStratgey Labs).  And, according to the Nielsen report (link above) the users most likely to visit the popular micro-blogging site Twitter, are between the ages of 45-54. 


Myth #2: "You have to be computer savvy to understand & use Social Media"

Most developers today understand that ease of use is one of the most important factors in whether or not their products will catch on and keep users coming back for more.  If you know how to turn on a computer and send and receive email, you'll have no problem learning how to use Social Media to market your business. 


Myth #3: "I'm way too busy and don't have the time"
